Measurement of thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity of monolithic materials and bulk material with the material particle size distribution between 0 and 15 mm in the temperature range 400–1500 K under overpressure up to 50 kPa.

Innovative aspect and main advantages:
Determination of thermal conductivity is based on the principle of superposition of temperature fields in the study of materials that ensure improved accuracy measurements over a wide temperature range. High temperature electrical conductivity measurements in bulk materials are carried out by measuring cell with diameter of 100 mm and height 250 mm and with a uniform temperature field in the test material, which ensures increasing the accuracy of measurement.

Problem solved:
For units and electro-metallurgical industries, which are characterized by high energy intensity, widely used bulk carbon materials as insulation and active electrical resistance. Right-size carbon blend permits to increase energy efficiency of high-temperature units. The use of measuring equipment for developing thermal insulation for the construction industry.
